Good and all original paint on this fine solid carved redwood rig mate pintail pair by Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson (Sonoma, CA) ca. 1930s. It’s not common to find a rig mate pair that has stuck together for nearly 100 years! The drake has a tight neck crack and a bit of wear to the top of the bill. The hen has a neck crack and appears to have a light coat of varnish or shellac applied to the surface. The drake has a slightly turned head and measures 18.5” in length. The hen measures 16.5” in length.
