Fred Lefever Pintail Pair
Excellent and all original paint on this rigmate pintail pair by Fred Lefever (Stockton, CA) ca. 1940s. Constructed of kapok-stuffed canvas with shoe button eyes, sewn in internal ballast weights and unique inserted wire for the tails. Lefever mastered the stuffed and sewn canvas decoy design and it certainly shows. See page 467 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller.
